High-tech Postmodern Design

The homeowner wanted to turn his builder basic -oak and lino ridden house into a high-tech/postmodern bachelor pad with industrial finishes to suit his style and character. He wanted a new exterior to update the traditional stucco he had currently, as well as new doors to give amazing curb appeal. This homeowner was also energy conscious and sought ways to improve energy efficiency throughout the house. He also wanted to bring more natural light into his home.  The front deck was rotting and needed replacement.  This Homeowner hardly used his basement because of the wrinkled pink carpet and undesignated open spaces just didn’t work for him.

The corner pantry was removed to improve the kitchen layout and make room for corner ovens with dark bamboo cabinets. Glossy red cabinets with single-level quartz countertops provides some sizzle and adds tons of storage, seating and counter space.  The bar was built-in fill an awkward niche and completed this masculine high-tech postmodern look.

Open floating stairs with glass railings connect the main floor to the refreshed and swanky walk-out basement. A feature wall with micro-pebble creates an exposed aggregate look from the vaulted ceiling to the lower stair landing and it makes you want to reach out and touch nature.
